Software Licences

Selected software licences are available to students free of charge or at discounted terms. Some can only be used when a computer is connected to the Faculty-wide computer network. Microsoft 365

Every student can get a free MS Office 365 A3 for students use benefit. Students can install MS Office 365 on up to five of their own devices, including mobile platforms (Windows, Mac OS, Android, iPhone) and are always entitled to the latest version for the duration of their studies at the Faculty of Arts. The license is activated using the student's university account.

MATLAB

The licence for MATLAB, Simulink, and complementary products enables its users to install products both on computers owned by the University and on private computers in an unlimited quantity. More information is available at matlab.cuni.cz (Czech only).

Adobe

The Adobe licence (Creative Cloud plan - all apps) is offered directly to students on the Adobe website for a regular annual rental fee.

AVG – AntiVirus Business Edition

Registration is linked to the computer’s internal IP address. AVG can be installed only on computers that are connected to the Faculty-wide network and owned by the Faculty.
